The challenge was to build a three-string guitar with a wooden game box and a plank of pine wood. For electrification, we used a rod piezo pickup that we placed directly under the bridge. The components we bought (tuning pegs, fretwire and pickup) were quite inexpensive. We find the sound surprisingly good both with and without amplifier. The box works well as a sound box.
