We wanted to establish whether it was possible to build, from reclaimed wood, a piece of furniture that would look good enough to sit in a living room. In this project we built a chunky farmhouse dining table out of discarded planks and fence posts found in skips in our street and a few deck boards we had left from another project. Some planks had cracks and large holes that we filled with sections of branches and wood filler.
